Home Owners!

We closed on our new house today. We'll be moving in on Sunday. Actually, we can move in on Saturday at 9:00 pm. Which means if I get things my way, we'll be at the house at 9:01 pm with our sleeping bags ready to go.
Things went really well. We didn't run into any problems. We even got a little run-down from the sellers on all the how-to's of the house. It's going to be so great to finally have our own place. This is something I've been dreaming of, well... since forever.
Some of the things I'm looking forward to... having a garden, having a big (fenced) yard, a decent sized kitchen with plenty of counter space, being able to listen to music and not having to worry about bugging the neighbors, and a place to do hobbies (like sewing). But, probably the best part is the kitchen. I can't wait to have a kitchen that has plenty of room for all my dishes, appliances, and food AND a countertop that is bigger than a placemat. I've already enjoyed being able to make jam this summer at my mom's. I'm really looking forward to doing more "homey" stuff like that.
